It is used as a coating pigment due to its special white color. It helps to increase the brightness of the opaque thin to medium thickness papers or to give them an excellent texture. Occurs in three natural forms such as lime stone, chalk and Marble. The chemical formula of calcium carbonate is CaCO3.
